DynaVap Cap Armor — Stainless Steel

£15.00

A stainless steel sleeve that snaps over a Captive Cap you already own, to make it hold heat longer.

Key facts

  • Stainless steel sleeve — not a cap on its own

  • Fits over a Captive Cap you already have

  • Adds weight, so the cap holds its heat for longer

  • DynaVap: not recommended on non-Captive, dented, PVD-coated or special-edition engraved caps

  • Fits the DynaVap M7 and the G3 — both come with a Captive Cap, and DynaVap's G3 list names Cap Armor

Full description

Who this is for: anyone whose DynaVap cools down before they have finished, who would rather upgrade the cap they own than buy a new one.

The cap is the small metal cover that goes over the chamber. It is the part you put the flame on, and it clicks when it reaches temperature.

A heavier cap soaks up more heat while you warm it and gives it back more slowly, so the material stays hot for longer after the flame comes away. The trade is at the start: more metal takes longer to warm up.

This is the sleeve only. You need a Captive Cap for it to go on — DynaVap: "Captive Caps in good condition". DynaVap note that "minor dents or impressions on the upper crimp of the Captive Cap are possible.

This is normal and will not affect function of either part."

In the box

  • 1x Cap Armor (stainless steel sleeve)
