Who this is for: Arizer portable owners who already own a water piece with a 14 mm joint and want the vapour cooled before it reaches them.
Water takes heat out of the vapour and softens the draw, which helps if your throat is easily irritated. It is a comfort change, not a strength change.
Joint size is the one thing to get right. Water pipe joints come in 10 mm, 14 mm and 18/19 mm and they do not interchange. This is the 14 mm one. If you do not know which you have, our 3-in-1 stepped adapter fits all three and removes the question.
Glass on glass: seat it gently and never force it. Adding water also adds cleaning — the adapter and the joint both need it.
