Who this is for: XQ2 owners replacing the whole cartridge rather than just the pads inside it.
The XQ2 draws room air through a filter before heating it. That filter catches household dust, which is worth keeping out of anything you then breathe in.
There are two ways to buy this. The four-pack of replacement filter pads is for topping up a cartridge you already have. This is the cartridge itself with a filter in it, which is what you want if the cartridge is damaged, lost, or you would rather swap the whole assembly and clean the old one later.
Sellers mix these two up regularly. Ours is the cartridge, with a filter included.
