The palm shape sits inside a closed hand rather than being pinched between two fingers. At 13.5mm front to back it is the slimmest of the palm-shaped batteries we stock, so it still goes in a pocket. If grip strength is a consideration, this is a different object from a pen.
It has three voltage settings — voltage being how hard the battery drives the cartridge, and so how hot the oil gets — and it is draw-activated, so nothing needs holding down while you breathe in.
