DynaVap describe it as "a convenient place to put your vaporizer during cool down, or easily remove a hot Cap, with the magnet" — and the magnet does two things: it lifts the cap off without you handling it, and it draws heat out, so cooling is quicker. If grip or sensation in your hands is a consideration, that is not a convenience feature.
There is herb storage inside, so the device and what goes in it travel together.
Discretion is the other part: it reads as a wooden box and nothing else. Cocolobo is a dense hardwood — it takes knocks without denting like a tin, and does not hold smell like plastic. Because it is real timber the grain and colour vary, so yours will not look exactly like the photograph.
