Who this is for: PAX 4 owners replacing a worn mouthpiece, and anyone who would rather have a spare in the drawer than a device they cannot use.
The mouthpiece is the part you put your lips on and the part that collects most of the residue, so it is the first thing to look at when a draw feels tight or tastes stale. It is also small, black and easy to lose.
The flat one sits level with the top of the PAX 4 rather than standing proud. It gives a more direct draw and it makes the device flatter in a pocket. PAX supply both shapes with the device.
PAX's own spec sheet lists the PAX 4 as having no adjustable airflow, so the mouthpiece is the only part that changes how hard you have to draw. If the flat one is hard work, the raised shape is the alternative.
They come as a pair, so replacing one still leaves you a spare.
