Who this is for: PAX owners who use a water piece and want the vapour cooled before it reaches them.
Water takes heat out of the vapour and softens the draw, which helps anyone whose throat is easily irritated. It replaces the mouthpiece rather than sitting alongside it.
On which PAX it fits, PAX themselves settle it. Their own accessory page for this adapter is titled “PAX FLOW and FOUR Water Pipe Adapter” and reads “Compatible with PAX Flow, PAX Four and PAX Era devices. Fits in 14 or 18mm glass.” So if you own a PAX 4, this is the adapter for it.
The reason we are spelling that out is that our supplier is vaguer than the manufacturer here — their description opens by naming only the PAX Flow and the PAX Era, and their feature list then claims it suits “all PAX vaporizers”, which is too wide. PAX sell a second, earlier adapter for the PAX Plus and Mini. If you own a Mini rather than a 4, that older one is your part, not this.
One thing PAX do say plainly about water pipe adapters generally: the PAX Four has no Bong Heat Mode, so it may go into standby and switch off if it is left with the adapter installed.
