A dosing capsule is a small metal cup you fill at home and drop into the chamber. It holds a consistent amount of plant material. That is not the same as a dose: how much you take in also depends on the flower, the temperature and how you draw.
Capsules keep the chamber cleaner and make using a device away from home tidier. They hold less than the chamber does when filled directly, and they can make the draw feel a little firmer.
