Full description

Who this is for: patients who need a device assessed under medical device rules, and who would rather fill a balloon and put it down than hold a device to draw on.

The balloon is the point of it. The machine fills a bag, you detach it, and you inhale from it when you are ready — no drawing hard, no holding anything hot, no timing. For anyone with reduced grip, breath control or stamina, that is a different proposition from a portable.

Temperature runs 40°C to 230°C with digital control and a display. Storz & Bickel's own instruction for balloon filling differs from their portable advice: they recommend small quantities at top temperature in a single balloon, rather than climbing through the range.

The hardware follows the Volcano Hybrid closely. Mains powered, so nothing to charge.
